Endermologie after LIPOSUCTION
Liposuction is the most commonly performed aesthetic surgical procedure for body contouring. This technique involves the removal of fat from the reserve fat layers. Liposuction is not typically performed in the subcutaneous fat layer where cellulite originates, so liposuction does not remove cellulite or its appearance. In women, liposuction is most commonly performed to treat saddlebags (outer thighs), hips, and the abdomen. Inner thighs, circumferential thighs, knees, arms and calves can also be treated. In men, “love handles” (lower flanks), the lower abdomen and chest are treated most commonly. In the healing process after liposuction, the body can temporarily appear swollen, bumpy, or irregular.
Endermologie is a great treatment to use after liposuction to almost any area. The Endermologie program involves a series of treatments which speed healing, quickly and significantly reduce bruising and swelling, and help to smooth and tone the skin while contouring the body. Usually performed 2-3 weeks after surgical procedure, Endermologie is used to enhance the results from liposuction. (Although, if someone has fat transferred to an area, it is recommended you wait at least 4-6 months to ensure the graft survives.) Endermologie is not painful if done with the patients comfort in mind. The treatments consist of 3-5 minutes on each surgical site. These treatments significantly increase circulation, allowing connective tissues to release built up fluids, water retention and toxins. As a result, the collagen function of the skin is restored. It is important to note that a healthy lifestyle and diet further contribute to successful results.
Our experienced and devoted endermologie technicians will help customized treatments and track your results.
Many doctors recommend Endermologie treatments after liposuction. But, as with any program, please speak with your physician before starting Endermologie treatments.
